It's that time of year! I know I don't need to tell you how important it is to protect your skin, but here are a few tips to think about.
There's a difference between sunscreens and sunblocks. For example, sunscreens usually contain ingredients that absorb UV rays, where as sunblocks are made to actually block them. It is recommended to apply sunscreens about 15 to 30 minutes before going out in the sun.
Sunblocks usually 'reflect' UV light and typically start working immediately with no waiting period. Sunblocks are also known to be friendlier to sensitive skin. It is recommended to use at least an SPF 30.
So enjoy the sunshine! (Safely). :-)

DON'T BE DISCOURAGED WITH OF-THE-MOMENT TRENDS
Being in the fashion industry for so many years, I've definitely seen trends and styles come and go and return back again. However, some styles are destined to become future Classics.
But with all the trends and fads changing so quickly and with fashion magazines saying a certain shoe is a must-have and a week later another magazine saying it's out of style, it's no wonder people get confused and discouraged!
So just remember to always stay true to you and your style. Wear what makes you happy and wear something that fits properly and flatters your body.
I offer great advice on this subject in my fashion book I published, "Style, How To Have It And Keep It For Life"!

ARE YOU OVERWHELMED WITH WHAT TO WEAR AND HOW TO WEAR IT?
I know that sometimes fashion can be confusing with hemlines rising one minute and dropping the next, or making the decision of whether to wear skinny jeans or boot cut. Well, my darling fashionistas, have no fear, your fashion Godmother is here! The good news is that skinny jeans are still in style and the 70s style is in style too.
As I've mentioned in my fashion book I recently published, "STYLE: HOW TO HAVE IT AND KEEP IT FOR LIFE", I talk about how important it is to have your own personal style. Wear what makes you happy! I really enjoy helping guide women in the right direction of what looks good on their body type. If you ever have any fashion or beauty questions, please contact me and let me know. Remember to always have fun with fashion!

DRESSING FOR FALL 2015!
I'm so delighted it's the fall season and here in Florida, we're happy to get any fall weather we can get! So with this in mind, as the temperatures fluctuate, it's nice to know that our style doesn't have to suffer. I encourage you to embrace the 'layering affect'. Think tank tops under plaid shirts or turtlenecks, wearing cardigans, scarves and hats! I, myself, am a huge accessories girl so I love to wear gloves, too. And remember, as one of the things I mention in my fashion book, think outside the box and try something new this season that you probably normally wouldn't wear. You just might be pleasantly surprised!
