I remember, as a very little girl, in the early seventies, sitting on the bathroom sink watching my mother putting on her make-up. I watched in amazement the transformation from pretty to gorgeous with just a simple sweep of lipstick here and a quick stroke of mascara there. And then after applying that final touch of foundation and spray of perfume on her neck, I knew how beautiful she felt, because I could see it as she smiled at herself in the mirror. Even then, I knew that I couldn't wait to be just like her when I grew up.
I had always been fascinated by make-up, not only by how beautiful it made women look, but also by how it could make you feel. Even by just applying a bright lipstick and a dab of perfume on a dreary day can lift my spirits.
However, it is important to know your skin type and skin tone. Skincare is first and foremost so I recommend talking with your dermatologist if you have any skin problems or special skin conditions before starting a skin care regimen. This may include facial masks, scrubs, moisturizers, cleansers, anti-aging products...ect. I also recommend going to a trained professional in the cosmetic industry like maybe Sephora, Ulta or one of the cosmetic counters at a department store. I would ask for a makeover so as to help you with the right colors for you and how to apply.
I was in the cosmetic industry for many years and I've done hundreds of makeovers and loved every minute of it! I know a few things because I've seen a few things. If you ever have any questions or need any advice, don't hesitate to ask me. I'll be happy to help you!!
